Beca completes Defence Estate Data Improvement Program for the DoD
1 December 2022
The program is designed to ensure up-to-date data reporting on Defence’s physical property portfolio to better inform the Base Services Transformation.
Beca has confirmed that the company has successfully delivered the Defence Estate Data Improvement Program to Defence, a three-year project designed to validate and remediate a subset of Estate Data records, ensuring accurate and complete records of physical Defence assets.
The project drew together assets from Beca’s Advisory and Defence and National Security teams.
The Defence Estate Data Improvement Program was initiated by the Department’s Security and Estate Group, having experienced challenges when transitioning to the current management platform.
“The success of this project is testament to the longstanding and trusting partnership we have with Defence and the combined talents of our experienced team who continuously deliver innovative solutions for our clients,” David Barter, Beca business director – defence and national security.
As part of the engagement, Beca undertook a three-site pilot ahead of the project, before adding a fourth site to enhance the data remediation process.
According to Beca, the project enables dynamic reporting through a new web-based reporting interface. It also enhanced Defence’s data remediation, exception reporting, and land management, improving Defence’s physical asset data.
